I don't see Charles skipping the coronation on the whole. I rather see him adapting the ceremonial towards something a bit more oecumenical. There might be adaptations too as regards to the position of the countries of the Commonwealth, to the position of the peers (and peeresses...), etc., but that would be rather minor (although symbolical) changes. But the main patern of the coronation will certainly be maintained.
