The Duchess of Bedford wears hers pinned to a ribbon bow in her portrait by Richard Buckner: both brooch and painting are still at Woburn Abbey. Another is in the collection of the Marquess of Salisbury at Hatfield, and the Earl of Gainsborough owns a third. His sister, now Lady Maureen Fellowes, wore it pinned to a white dress when she first went to parties as a young girl. "
