Again many thanks to Franck for the information that HM was wearing a badge. According to the Daily Mail (Hull) 26 February 1940, QEQM was visiting the Toronto Scottish Regiment of which she was the Colonel-in-Chief. I have yet to find a badge which resembles the one worn by HM but the regimental connection would explain why HM wore the same badge in Ottawa and the UK. The UK visit took place at Aldershot on 18 January 1940. A number of regiments were reviewed by the King and Queen.
