Perhaps Princess Mary Adelaide was wearing various elements which made up the tiara Archived Message

After having re-read some of the news items I have, I now realise that perhaps Princess Mary Adelaide (Duchess of Teck ) may have been wearing various parts of the ears of wheat tiara when the media reports mentioned silver ears of wheat, and in the report posted below it would appear that it is stating that her ears of wheat corsage ornaments are made of silver and diamonds.

I find it difficult to interpret what is meant by "silver" ears of wheat. It is possible that this may refer to the elements with diamonds - as many (or dare I say most) diamonds were set in silver during this period.
