Source: Ottumwa Courier (Ottumwa, Iowa; dated May 5, 1937 [Court Robe] and May 12, 1937 [Coronation]).

You have your website about the Coronations and such. So I am putting here for you to see and know.

I came across this newspaper piece about the court gown which was supposed to belong to Princess Victoria for her father King Edward VII's 1910 coronation. It said, as you can see the caption in the insert of the photo, that Princess Victoria's court robe would be sold in New York. I am not sure whether this was true or not. Anyway, the court robe in the picture was said to be Victoria's. I am posting one lighter and darker shade of the same photo for you to see.

In keeping with the subject of this message board (as in jewels), I am posting the pictures of King George VI (with his medals and all) and Queen Elizabeth (with her tiara and jewels).
