Like the Duchess of Cambridge's ring, it seems rather more like an evening/cocktail ring than an engagement ring: sort of unwieldy for daily life. The main stone is however probably very impressive.
Was the Asscher cut used in period deco rings? Would this likely be a newly created ring?
