Oh what a find! Congratulation and thank you both, Hans and Arthur, for picture and match!

Extraordinary piece, illustrious provenance, quite old and not really recognised by the same time - we do not see this very often.

Please, no laughing - recently I was looking the 5th season of Downton Abbey. All the ladies in the modern jewellery of the 1920th except the Dowager Countess in her usuall "old fashioned" style. I guess itīs quite near the reality and I guess noble ladies must have had either tons of "old fashioned" jewellery in her caskets or making dates with their jewellers on a regular base to change or deliver in payment their old pieces. They did both I suppose.
To be honest itīs an interesting precious but the only royal lady able to wear this tiara to her benefit might be Queen Margarethe. Probably she would forget the frame and put the part on her hairdo.

    : Beautiful!
    :
: Is this a new creation by Chaumet, or an
: older piece? It actually looks like an
: assortment of antique brooches assembled as
: a tiara, rather than as a "real"
    : tiara.
    :
: The central flower, with its carved emerald,
: reminds me of a corsage brooch (by Faberge,
: if I well remember?) which belonged to a
: Russian Grand-Duchess, and which was
: pictured in various books about the Russian
    : imperial jewels.
    :
: Beautiful, anyway, and certainly worth to
: adorn the head of a Queen!
    :
: Edit: There is definitely a match with this
: brooch by Nitot (Chaumet's ancestor), sold
    : by Christie's in 2014:

    :
: The description of the brooch on Christie's
: website mentions that there is a tiara frame
    : with the brooch.
