Crown Princess Mette-Marit's pearl spray broochArchived Message

On July 22nd, 2016, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended the ceremonies marking the 5th anniversary of the killing of 77 people in Oslo and on the island of Utoya. Among the victims was Mette-Marit's half-brother, Trond Berntsen, a 51-year-old policeman who was shot by Anders Breivik while he tried to take his gun from him - so it was not just a "mere" representation ceremony for the Crown Princess, but also a very personal (and probably very moving) ceremony.
On this very sad remembrance occasion, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a large and impressive brooch, made of diamonds (?) and large baroque pearls.
Has this brooch already been worn, or is it a first appearance? Do you know if these are real pearls and diamonds, or costume jewellery?
Anyway, I find this brooch quite elegant. I hope the Crown Princess will wear it regularly.
Thanks,
Arthur
