This has been bothering me for a while, but I finally remembered that there is another diamond that was in the Imperial Treasury, in a brooch with three drop pearls and some motifs similar to Empress Alexandra's sapphire suite. While the one at Skinner's could be from the Bolin tiara, it might be from the brooch instead --Previous Message-- : At Skinner's, there is an upcoming sale of a : heart shaped diamond which is strikingly : similar to the one in the tiara worn by : Empress Alexandra at the opening of the Duma : in 1906. That tiara has an upside down : heart in the centre, Golconda stone, large : cutlet, and the one for sale at Skinner's is : very, very similar. It is interesting to : say the least. : :
