I do not think that the Duchess of Cornwall's pearls came from the Dagmar necklace. The metal holder of the pearls (sorry, I am sure there is a technical term for this which I do not know) of the Dagmar are distinctive in that they look to be very small bead-like (probably) pave diamonds. The Duchess's 'pearl holders' look to me to be much smoother. Also, Queen Alexandra left the Dagmar Necklace as an Heirloom to the Crown with the stipulation that it never be altered. While she and others wore it in "altered states", (eg. she wore just the cross; QEII wore it without some of the drops...) I doubt that anything would be pilfered from it to make new pieces.
