Another wedding present for Queen Ena Archived Message

Late last night I did a quick search on the British newspapers to see if any of them had made the link between Princess Beatrice's wedding gift to her daughter and Queen Victoria's gift to her. None of them appear to have made the connection. Yet it was not a fruitless task, as when I saw J-F's photo (showing pearls in the tiara) I was struck by the shape of the largish bow brooch which could be seen. http://members2.boardhost.com/royal-jewels/msg/1475621409.html This I discovered was a present from the English communities in various parts of Spain. Illustrated London News 9 June 1906 J-F's photo does not show all of the brooch. Unfortunately the only photo I can find which shows the entire brooch is a photo of much lesser quality - but here it is! I also noticed in the reports that Sir Nathanial and Lady Rothschild gave Queen Ena a diamond and pink pearl brooch but I have not seen an image of it. I suspect that the pink pearl in that brooch will also have been a conch pearl. Perhaps it too was dismantled to form part of the Queen's bracelet.
