Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother's turquoise tiara Archived Message

While trying to find an image of the Countess of Strathmore's gift of a pearl bracelet to QEQM, I noticed that the tiara, as presented by King George V, had a diamond band along the top of the jewel.

I have only one photo of HM wearing this tiara - in 1935 by which time the top row of diamonds had been removed. As we all know HM also removed the top row of diamonds in the Delhi Durbar tiara. Perhaps she didn't like that style. I am not sure how removing the top row of diamonds on the turquoise tiara would affect the shape of the tiara. Has anyone seen photos of her wearing the tiara in its original design?
