Four pamphlets, Les Joyaux du Trésor de Russie, detailing the collection of the Romanov Royal jewels Sotheby's - Lot 327 The estimate is $39,179-$52,583
From Christie's "Aleksandr Evgenevich Fersman, editor. Les Joyaux du Trésor de Russie. Premiere (-quatrieme & derniere) livraison. Moscow: Commisariat national des finances, 1924-1926. Four individual folios, each with text and black and white phototype plates within a printed cream portfolio, each plate with a captioned tissue guard, brown buckram-backed card folder with fabric ties to contain all four parts, measurements approximately 395 x 310mm, portfolios somewhat torn at edges, card folder slightly worn. This work was published in Russian, English and French, and is a complete record of the royal jewels of the Romanovs from the early seventeenth century onwards, some of which were subsequently disposed of by private sale and auction. The Bolshevik government recalled and destroyed copies of this catalogue, hence its extreme rarity."
