When I used to work for the Royal Collection, I often saw these in the jewellery counter at the shop and was impressed at their accuracy, and sparkle. Replica jewels were always very popular. These will no doubt sell well, seeing how the public visiting the Palace will see the real jewels before visiting the shop. @Boffer, I agree - the pieces are of exquisite quality and sparkle. My only 'problem' is that the 'silver/ platinum only' setting with paste diamonds doesn't suit my complexion very much. I love some colour in it or at least a pearl and there hasn't been much choice recently. @Nellie, I am sure there will be more pieces over time. Queen Mary's Russian Brooch would be perfectly wearable as it not so huge as many of the other brooches. http://www.thejewelleryeditor.com/2012/06/the-queens-jewels-at-epsom-derby/ P.S.: My favourite brooch is and will ever be 'The Empress Marie Feodorovna of Russia's Brooch' as I find the combination of a sapphire cabochon centre framed with diamonds and an additional pearl drop so very unusual. I love my crystals and rhinestones, don't get me wrong - but I have bad luck with pieces that aren't prong-set. Many of these look like they have no prongs. Those of you who have bought them in the past - Have they held up?

The two I have are beautiful. The only problems I have - and I cannot for the life of me understand why they do it - is that the pin on the back opens at the top, so if it comes undone the brooch slips off. If only they made them the other way up, they would be much safer to wear. I have to use safety chains with them so that I'm secure if that happens.
