Jewellery theft crown princess Margrethe of Denmark (1964)

In 1964 jewellery of Crown Princess Margrethe of Denmark were stolen while she was on holiday. She was a guest of the Marquess of Northampton in his castle. Apparently the thiefs broke into her bedroom on the first floor while a party was going on downstairs. Does anyone have more information on this theft?

Thank you very much, Stig. It seems the jewels were all personal possessions. Were they ever recovered?

In December 1964 it was reported that some of the jewels had been found, but in May 1965 the princess told the press that none of them had been returned to her.
