I know that is the section heading but the blurb does not actually say. I want the actual catalogue and suppose I shall just have to wait for the 30th.
The postage costs are so very high to Australia that I don't want to get it wrong.
Nellie, my guess is, that it is one of these "Souvenir Albums" like the RC has published already severals (Five Wedding Rings, The Queen's Year, Queen and Commonwealth etc.).
According to the description (no of pages, author), the same little book might also be ordered at Book Depository. It will be published on 2 july and send cost-free to everywhere . It was you who recommended Book Depository, weren't you? Meanwhile, I ordered some RC books at BD - and they even ship free to Switzerland (which is in Europe quite unusual )!

Thanks for the reminder about BS, Barbara. I'll wait for the exhibition to open online and then see if there is a second book.

Robert's book is essentially the in depth book on this exhibition.
The smaller de Guitaut book is a smaller book to accompany the exhibition, it will contain general information and many pictures.
There will not be a complete catalogue, the purpose of this is mainly served by Robert's publication.
An apt comparison of the two books would be from the Victoria & Albert exhibition at the Queen's Gallery two years ago two books were published. The large and comprehensive V&A: Art & Love (which can be compared to Roberts book); and then Passionate Patrons, which was the smaller book aimed at those that wanted a souvenir of the exhibition they had seen without all the in-depth information (which can be compared to the de Guitaut book).
Also the exhibition mircosite should provide a lot of information, the pages they currently have loaded on the Cullinan stones, the Diamond Diadem and Queen Victoria's Diamond Crown all indicate that the other exhibits in the summer exhibition will be explained in detail online.
Thanks Boffer. But I gathered from somewhere that the exhibition will include swords and other diamond encrusted items.
I just have to be patient a while longer!

Yes, the exhibition will include other items other than jewellery.
But these won't be covered in detail in another large book, the information on these pieces will be released in the smaller publication and online.
The Royal Collection release their future publications list months, if not years ahead, and there were only two books to be released in connection with this exhibition.
We shall just have to rely on the web-exhibition as we have done in the past for certain pieces if information.
