The glittering Royal Event provide beautiful pictures of this State Visit. On day I Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte wears her emerald tiara but interesting is her necklace : The Congo necklace and a BIG Emerald. Queen Astrid’s emeralds are not lost !

Dear Maria Olivia, That's not an emerald from Queen Astrid, our most beloved Queen, but an emerald from her grand-mother, HRH Princess Ingeborg. She wore it already in the 60'ties.

Dear Hans, The emerald worn by Queen Fabiola at Persepolis and the emerald worn by Princess Paola de Liege for Queen Elisabeth II state Visit in Belgium are they also from their Grand Mother Princess ingeborg. Does that mean that each Grandchild from Belgium still have them ? Worn as a pendant on a diamond necklace. As brooch on and diamond leaf. In Persia during the Persepolis Event. I saved the photo's an my pc, I think they were posted once by Marianne and the last bij Manuel.

She wore it during the wedding of her brother Boudewijn, it was used as brooch on her fur toque.
