Princess Benedikte diamond earrings?

Royal Enthusiast post a very beautiful picture of Princess Benedikte in full glitter at the Glittering Royal Events. HRH looks fabulous and absolutely regal. I am familiar with all the jewels she is wearing except for her earrings, at first I thought they were Queen Ingrid's fringe earrings, but I notest that I have never seen these ones. actually they are the fan earrings from Queen Ingrid - I know they look a bit different - but they are those...

Thanks Glenn...Oh dear... they do look diferent to me in this picture... The earrings I am refering to as Queen Ingrid's fringe earrings are the ones the Princess is wearing on the right side of the banner on the GREMB, with the pale green dress. She inherited them from her mother. These ones are similar but in the photo with the blue dress it looks like the fringe motif was split in half and has a diamond bar in the center... Most likely my eyes are deceiving me, but I really don't see them as the fringe ones . Does anyone has an HQ of this wonderful picture of the princess? Have you ever seen this brooch on Queen Ingrid? I am in love with it...it reminds me of Carl Faberge jewels....so delicate...so beautiful.. Cristina, I thought the same thing you did when first seeing that pic, but as Tamara says the resolution is such that any detail looks blurry. However, you are correct about the motif being "split in half" as evident in this straight-on view. I think this gap is what caused confusion when viewed from the side.

I have never seen this brooch before... the princess could have bought it in London... I know she loves to buy jewellery... The earrings can be worn with emeralds aswell... I love how HRH loves to play around with her jewels - I do not think any royal is using her jewels to play around with as princess Benesikte...

Thanks Tamara! Wonderful...as always you spoil us with these beauties. It seems Princess Thyra of Denmark had a fine collection of saphire jewels, I was unaware that this pendant was hers. Wasn't she the original owner of the saphire tiara and pendant that Princess Elizabeth owns now? I believe she left it to Princess Caroline Mathilde. Is there a list of Princess Thyra jewels? It would be interesting to take a look a her jewelry casket.
