Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother wearing the cross during war time

I have found some more occasions on which QEQM was photographed wearing a small cross on her left wrist during war time. Rather than being attached to her watch I think it is dangling from a very fine chain bracelet. 5 November 1941 11 February 1942 5 March 1942 19 September 1941 4 March 1943

I have taken a detail from the first pic and that does look like a snake bracelet where the snake swallows its tail. Whether or not the cross is on a chain connected to the bracelet I cannot tell. The previous one could have been that snake bracelet. The distance from head to cross seems quite similar. Edit: In the second pic here the bracelet or trim, left, could be on a sleeve under the top sleeve.

Great images thank you Nellie, and congratulations to Franck for having spotted the snake shape yesterday. Below are some more images with some enlarged details. 18 December 1940 I think this shows clearly that the cross is on a separate fine chain. In the following images showing the snake bracelet there is no sign of the small cross which makes me think it was not attached to the snake bracelet. July 1941 Detail shows snake head under HM's wrist July 1940 Detail shows head of snake on the top of HM's upturned wrist. July 1941 Detail shows the snake head on the top part of HM's upturned arm. In your first detail something is connected to either side of the head.

I wonder if the jewel worn by the Countess of Strathmore in 1927 for a photo (after HM returned from her tour of New Zealand and Australia) might be the cross she bequeathed to QEQM? The cross in the photo above is clearly set with gemstones, while I have not perceived any in the small cross QEQM wore on her wrist during the early 1940s. Still, it is all just a guess.

And the snake bracelet?

I have finally decided to put forward the suggestion that the Countess might be wearing the snake bracelet on her right wrist. The photo does not have sufficient detail for me to be sure (and what I am seeing could be a shadow) but it looks suspiciously like a snake to me. If so, it does resemble the snake bracelet we have seen on QEQM during the early 1940s.
