Arthur, do we think that the "Chalcedony" brooch is or is not the one seen on the Queen in my photo? The depth of the petals seems much thinner than the QM's pretty brooch, and the light on it looks less smooth too. My personal feeling is, despite the outline of the petals being round-ended in a similar way, that this is not the one worn by HM... ALthough, now that I've uploaded it again, looking with fresh eyes, it could well be "chalcedony" petals (or similar) |
