Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway’s 18 birthday tiara!

Pardon me if this was discussed already but I don’t remember seeing it on this board. According to historian known well to all us, Trond Noren Isaksen, the famed Boucheron loop tiara of Princess Ingeborg (which was also worn by her granddaughter Princess Ragnhild) has been acquired and gifted to Princess Ingrid Alexandra. This is very happy news as I am glad at least ONE of the royal Houses is planning tiaras for their next generation of princesses. Are you watching, Netherlands and Belgium? haha.
So I wonder how the tiara came to the main line, if Ragnhild owned it outright and it was gifted to Ingrid, or if The King purchased it from her estate? Or perhaps it was only a lifetime loan to Ragnhild, having been inherited by King Harald? I suppose we will have to wait and see if Trond produces more information on his blog!

Isaksen writes in the story that the tiara was gifted to Princess Ingrid Alexandra on her 18th birthday from the children of Princess Ragnhild, Haakon, Ragnhild and Ingeborg Lorentzen, who had no use for it themselves. So not a purchase by the King. The tiara was Princess Ragnhilds private property and not a part of the jewellery returned after her death.
He also writes that this was perhaps not the only tiara Ingrid Alexandra has recieved. So it keeps the speculations alive that the King has bough Queen Sophias tiara from Folke Bernadotte of Wisborg which Isaksen has also written about earlier and gotten confirmed by Countess Christine Bernadotte.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more than one tiara! But my guess is that she will wear - IF she has been gifted it - the smaller Boucheron Pearl loop tiara for the banquet later this month (unless she has been gifted an even smaller one, either by her parents or her grandparents).

Is she has been gifted more then one tiara probably have to wait somen time until we see the second one as i think there is only one tiara event for her birthday. I hope she will wear the pearl circle tiara and we will probably surprised that it isn't as small as it looked on Pricness Ragnhild where it was buried in her hair.

This is an HD version of a well-known photo where the tiaras are in focus. I would not call Princess Margaretha’s tiara small, but I guess it depends on the hair style as Stefan mentioned.

Well yes, maybe "small" was not the best word to use. But it would definitely look a bit "lighter" (probably a slightly better word? ) on the young Princess compared to the grander diamond tiara of Queen Maud. Kongetro
