According to the Royal Court:

"she wears miniatures of the Royal House's 100th anniversary medal and HM King Harald V's anniversary medal 1991-2016."

It also seems to me that Princess Ingrid Alexandra is wearing the gown worn by her mother to the British State Banquet in 2001 (which was her first Gala Dinner a few months before her wedding)!

Lets hope she will wear a new gown made for her today evening.but then this gown matches wonderful the sash the order of St. Olav and the King's portrait Order.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra is wearing the Grand Cross of the Order of St Olav and His Majesty King Harald V’s House order (portrait brooch), which were conferred on her by the King on her 18th birthday on 21 January, 2022. This is the first time the Princess is wearing the decorations. She is also wearing miniatures of the Order of St Olav, the Royal House of Norway Centenary Medal and His Majesty King Harald V’s Jubilee Medal 1991 – 2016.

Its very nice that they share the story behind the tiara as told by Princess Astrid, and even supplied a HQ photo of it. That is not typicall for th NRF who dont want to take part in anything relating to their historic jewels (series, books, exhibitions).

I like the idea that a tiara with family history returned to the main line, but it’s not terribly impressive is it? It looks nice, but there are no large diamonds, and the pearls appear to have been sawed to their shape. However, it’s diamonds nonetheless and I’m sure it glitters! I’d rather see Princess Ingrid in this than nothing!

Considering what we have seen of 18-year old debut tiaras in Norway and Sweden I think it does the job very well

Wonderful! Great to finally see a close-up of this historic tiara.

I think this is the first official photo of the newlywed CP Couple in 2001 where CP Mette-Marit is wearing the same dress.
The diamond and sapphire brooch is an heirloom from Queen Maud, a wedding gift from the Tsar and Tsarina in 1896.

I believe Prince Carl's idea when he bought this tiara for his wife was precisely that: not be impressive, rather be light and confortable to wear, according to Pss Astrid's own statement.

Pss Ingrid Alexandra will, in due time, have acess to big heavy diamonds and big heavy emeralds, pearls and amethysts, and she will look wonderful wearing them.
At this point I think this a lovely first tiara for an 18 year old princess, coming from her great-great-grandmother, who was one of the most remarkable royal ladies of her time, and a very important figure for the royal houses of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Belgium and Luxembourg, and I am very glad that this tiara is back to the main line!

Im getting the idea that the family of the Norwegian King has decided that uniting the historic jewels in the main line is the best way to keep them safe.

I get that princess Ragnhild's children are not exactly cash-craved but i still find it an amazing gift they provided the young princess with.

Maybe Mathilde and Elisabeth can learn something from the Norwegian Royals.

It looks like Maxima has chosen to wear the House Diamonds. Im not sure she is wearing the Stuart diamond on top of the tiara but it's the first time she's using it for a non-State event.

I think Maxima is wearing the House Diamonds tiara in the setting in which she wore if for the state visit to Luxemburg. Very nice she brought it out of the vaults again!

In all honesty i think it's the best version of the tiara. The grand version with the Stuart diamond is a bit top heavy and the one she wore in Berlin is nice but not as good as this one.

Im glad Maxima is starting to wear sets and Amalia has chosen a nice group of jewels with her tiara, necklace and star brooch.
