A Swedish news report in 1926 mentioned that the tiara also could be worn as a bracelet or a necklace. Was the bandeau a full circlet? I thought it was a half circlet (about the same size as a wrist/bracelet) and that an extension was needed when worn as a necklace.

Ah, that makes sense then. Perhaps it is only half-round sized and could be fit with an elastic band if worn as a diadem. It’s a shame the pearl hasn’t been worn though, it’s not a perfect shaped pearl but it’s probably natural and would nice on a chain as a pendant.
