Banquet for Parliament in Oslo tonight

Crown Prince Haakon joined his mother Queen Sonja for the annual banquet hosting the Norwegian government and MPs tonight. King Harald is on sick leave:

Apart from the obvious brooch seen on the Queen (the Drapers' Company Diamond and Pearl brooch) Her Majesty also wore a brooch at the back - most likely the Diamond Filigree brooch.

Do you know anything more about Queen Maud's stolen tiara? I understand it was sent to Gerrard's for cleaning and repairs and was subsequently stolen by three armed men. Is it known what happened to it? Was it broken up and the stones sold on the black market....or?

Nice to see some glitter in Oslo again (it always is)! Too bad the King himself could not be present. But we got all three of the Royal ladies and they wore lovely jewellery as could be expected. I was a bit miffed that Princess Ingrid Alexandra did not attend, but her time will come

This tiara, along with another tiara (bought from the heirs of Countess Estelle Bernadotte) and other jewels belonging to the Norwegian royal family, were stolen from Gerrards in 1995. As far as I have read, none of the jewels have been recovered.
