There is a promise of rain this week for the Rogue Valley. That would do wonders for the upper Rogue's steelhead fishing. Right now the river is a little stale with the fish hard to come by. A far better option is the fee pheasant hunting going on at the Denman Wildlife area near the Rogue River. Yesterday the birds burned me...0 for 2. I vow to shoot more than tail feathers next outing. Did you get your entries off for the Fly Tyer Magazine 30th Anniversary Fly-Tying Championships? I entered the Hair-Wing Blue Doctor mandatory pattern catagory with an Orange and Red Dee fly for a tie breaker pattern. Not the flies that I have pictured below on this board, but a couple I tied later and better. Here's the sun setting over the Denman Wildlife Area with the lower Table Rock in the background...
