The Rogue River is flowing clear at around 1450cfs & slowly falling. The tributary creeks are clear and coming down, but there's more rain forecasted for overnight and the weekend. We should have gotten a shot of fresh fish, but the catching remains slow and the effort is light...as this photo of the popular Modoc Bar shows.
Covering some water offers more chance for the scattered fish right now. A drift in the driftboat offers you more opportunity to find one. Be prepared for the cold or rain with the current weather conditions. There's some brightly colored fish fish around in the upper Rogue River. I'm still expecting a good flush of fresh steelhead and coho salmon from the lower river. Carefully release all the wild ones...
