Day after driftboat float on the Rogue River.

Rogue River, Oregon late November steelheading. The weather was not half-bad later in the day. The early morning was very cold and foggy. The trout bite was on.

The river was low and cold full of shallow riffles

Eric below the sliding bank-hole. Casting the water

A pair of bald eagles along the banks of the Rogue River

I thought this pair of eagles would tip us off to a good catching location. Alas, a Rogue steelhead was not to be found in the low, cold Rogue River this chilly day after Thanksgiving's... RG
