The Rogue River update is slow...slow...slow! Cold and low conditions have keep the bite slow throughout the Rogue. The upper Rogue remains slow. I have been out a couple of times and caught nothing more than trout. Some good sized though. The winter steelhead numbers into the upper Rogue remain low. Look for the run to gain in strength throughout the latter half of February. The cold will hold them back a bit, but as the water rises the fish will trickle in. Here are a couple of good spots that bore my investigation during the week.
