February Steelhead on the upper Rogue

The river is flowing in good fly fishing condition even with the rain we've had. There's plenty of summer fish heading back down the river. I ran into a few today. The big, winter steelhead should be slipping in one by one. Look for that big "winter surprize" on the end of your line as the February progresses to March. There's more rain forecast tonight and if we keep getting it in little spits between dry periods we could see some more good flyfishing days this February...RG
