Got one going here too! wind direction is blowing east to Montana---- thank goodness. No wet lines here. I do here that salmon on the clear water & salmon rivers has been great, still finishing garage and readying house for winter before Elk & Deer seasons. Even the clunkers left here in Idaho don't have those silly bumper sticker, (how many more years?)AJS

: Instead of crisp, clear late September
: conditions the Rogue Valley remains smokey
: and hot for the weekend. The smoke is coming
: from forest fires in Douglas County. The
: local fires are under control and their
: smoke effect is neiglible. However the
: current air quality conditions have mandated
: air quality warnings. The air quality in the
: Rogue Valley remains Unhealthy for Sensitive
: Groups according to the DEC. I can agree!

: There is now a lot of smoke from the new,
: local fires here in the Rogue Valley to add
: to the discomfort of the late day heat.
: Brings to mind that observation of Ray
: Bergman in Chapter 13 Steelheads of the
: Umpqua from his great book Trout
: ..."There were a great many forest
: fires at the time..." RG
