This is a cherry wood 26" spinning wheel handmade by Tom Siske in 1988. Tom is an excellent wood crafter and his spinning wheels are prized among spinners who own or are familiar with them. This is not a spinning wheel for beginners, but if you're experienced and want a wheel that produces fine to thick yarns, and does a great job while at it, this is for you. It is very smooth, and I have personally spun yarn almost as fine as thread on this wheel. At 20 years old, it has a few small dings, but in great condition. Includes one original whorl, but you could have another whorl made. I'm downsizing for a move and need to part with it. Includes seven bobbins, no lazy kate because it didn't come with one.
It can be shipped in two boxes, one for the wheel, the second for the body.
If you live near me, you can come by and try it out. Located in central NJ. Go to my flickr sale page for pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/25947181@N03/
I will ship at buyer's expense. $1,000.
