Come'on .. There's enough catering to the 35+ market
as lucrative as it is ..
enough is enough
and that is why the mix is always sitting in the 3 to low 4 share point range..
a Younger Demo can attract higher share points, more listener coverage and thus more ad revenue even if the target demo typically isn't as 'wealthy' as 35+ ..
Kiss92 CISS was a decent CHR up till the point where they took a misguided path to counter the new urban Flow in Town which ultimately led to lower ratings and their demise amoungst a promised new brand of Jack's nation wide (how original..and look where it got them.. years of 2 and 3 shares compared to 6 and 7 shares earlier)
