When CHUM's consultant Ted Randal hired me in 1970 to work for him in his LA office, one of the reasons I took the job was because Ted's offices were in Chuck Blore's building at 1606 Argyle Street (The Hollywood Argyles of "Alley Oop" fame took their name from this street. Chuck Blore was my hero (still is one of them). I didn't know who or what Will Scott was until I got there. He was a true producing genius. He was also the nicest man (unless you talked politics. He used to send letters off to U.S. President Richard Nixon. I'm sure the FBI & Secret Service had a file on him a mile high). He took a lot of time and showed me so much. I learned one helluva lot from Will Scott.
He was an amazingly great producer...just like another producer I know that helped launch Listen! Audio in Montreal, then he was at CFNY in the great David Marsden/Pete'N'Geets/Don Berns/Earl Jive/Liz Janik etc era.
Whatever happened to Bob Leyman?? Mr. Noxious???
