I respectfully disagree with your assesment. Astral has stripped the talent pool down to a puddle. The Motts lost their appeal after 9/11? Really? So they were allowed to stay on, have their bigass ranch outfitted with a ISDN line so they could still broadcast in the event of a nasty snowstorm? 8 years is a long time to pay someone(x2) for a radio show that nobody listens to. As for the news Dept. Macko is a seasoned pro, CFRB is lucky to have her.
Bob Komsick is a great reporter, but what else...?
Mavridis is awesome, he's a Toronto favourite, I love the guy and his work,BUT He isn't Dave Agar. There should be plenty of room for both. How about longtime newsguy David Bendt? Shuffled out, what 2 years ago? The "New Newstalk 1010" gets all the ratings it deserves. Call me in a year.
