I don't know how many times I see media outlets who are clearly geographically challenged as to the boundaries of municipalities in York Region.
Highway 48 and Davis is East Gwillambury. Mount Albert as a location description would work as well, and is probably the most apt. Similarly the "Newmarket" tornado this summer was also in East Gwillambury. I've seen things attributed to Aurora that were actually in King, or Richmond Hill.
City isn't the only offender - 680 is just as bad, for example, and I've seen this kind of thing from other outlets too.
People, you're at a computer. Google Maps and even the Region's website can tell you easily. You probably have a Perly's in the car. Looking this information up takes a freaking minute.
If they can't get the small stuff right, how are we to know how accurate the big stuff is?
