The only other time I'd noticed this (and only once, as I recall) was on WNED the week the analog feeds were to disappear. They seemed to be running analog and digital audio simultaneously and it was definitely out of phase, as well as slightly delayed...this was on a George Carlin memorial show a few months ago. Same program from PBS in Spokane was clear as a bell but I couldn't get the wide screen video (WNED had wide screen, but tiny picture). The hollow sound on WIVB on Rogers Cable seems to be a permanent thing. (I don't "get" Craig Ferguson anyway so I switch it off as soon as I can.)
