Audition is used by many radio stations.
It includes many features that allow you to modify the sound in many ways.
The most popular digital production software is ProTools, sometimes called Prostools by it's detractors.
As to modifying voices, there are all sorts of software and hardware devices for doing this, including the ubiquitous AutoTune which can turn no talent bimbos into passable singers.
