One of Vancouver's heritage stations with the best call letters ever, 1410 CFUN is now Team 1410.
The current CHUM Radio (CTV) "brain trust" has decided to make the former great rocker which morphed unsuccessfully into talk radio the second all sports station in the market with mostly syndicated American sports programming.
Staff was blown out this morning.
Not sure who's left there anymore.
CHUM recently spent multiple millions of dollars on a new combined transmitter site for Team 1040 and CFUN.
The last time Vancouver had two sports stations, one of them became all traffic all the time and the perennial bottom feeder in the market.
