David:
With this post, are you perhaps looking for some validation for violating Poppy Protocol?
When I'm marching in the Remembrance Day Parade in London on Wednesday morning, I'd hate to think of what degree of ribbing would befall me if I showed up in the ranks wearing the Poppy on the right side of my coat, looking like a dork among my peers.
For "civies" you can do whatever the heck you want with where you wear the poppy, because these days, "we" are grateful that people are wearing poppies, so criticism of "the customer" is held to zero.
I have to say that seeing poppies being worn, and hearing clapping while you're marching in the parade sure does something for you.
All the best David.....and thanks again to you and everyone else who wears a poppy at this time of year in memory of all those young men and women who were sent to a far-off land and never came home to the arms of their family.
