I have been a huge CTV.ca fan, up until this week, when they changed the format of their news presentation. CTV.ca was the site that I first went to for my national news in the morning. The new site is radically different, yet I much prefer the much more easily found, much more clearly categorized groupings of stories on the old CTV.ca site. I'll admit, I wasn't a fan of the old site, but I found it easier to find news there. The new site is trying to do everything CTV does in one place and for me, it's not working.

I completely agree! I surf CTV for stories during my show prep. Before they changed their website, it would take me 2 minutes to look through the links. Now, I average 10 minutes. Confusion consumes the extra 8 minutes. Their previous layout was best: display the stories on the homepage, instead of burying it deeper within the site.

For Showprep, you might want to consider tailoring the CTV site more for your needs using their feeds and a reader. http://www.ctv.ca/rss/ I'm a fan of the Google news reader because you can also then share content with other employees/friends and create 'prep' groups that other shows may utilize. http://www.google.com/reader/view/ But there are a billion news readers around if you want to do it on your own pc. No ads, content sorted and delivered to your desktop meeting your needs, not what the provider thinks your needs may be. Don't work for the internet.. let it work for you ig.

well I for one am disappointed that we can't watch desperate housewives on the site. I was hoping that it would be one of the shows included. Are any of you going to complain to CTV about the site?

You should also check out http://fastflip.googlelabs.com/ It's in beta test mode now, but it's addictive and very very cool ig.
