I know I sometimes sit in the minority here as I have spent a lot of time in radio sales as a suit (although in my heart I am just a writer and a lover of the music and the medium) but, I am quite interested in this new means of measurement. I am not sure of it's core data and how it will be used to sell commercial air time on radio. In the past, especially in Toronto agencies, (and with some clients)we were always forced to focus on GRP's and C/GRP's in the selling of air time, even though we always complained that it was was more of a TV criteria. At the smaller stations I worked at we used AQH and the cume. But, then we were really open to and could sell the medium as well as the sound of the station and the audiences we were trying to reach. What data is this going to provide and what will advertisers and agencies be looking for as a cost efficient way of using the information?
