It's coming down to about a year ago that I heard about this movie & saw the previews on youtube. I watched for the openings in early spring, but didn't notice anything for local theatres. Now I see it's finally coming to the American market November 13th, 2009 under a different name- Pirate Radio. Is it coming to Canada too? Does anyone know if this version is the actual/original movie just with a name change or has it been edited too. I'm also wondering about the soundtrack, are the songs changed to be more accepted in North America(Personally, I like the original title). Sorry for all the questions, but for junkies like us on SOWNY I'd figure people would to know.

I saw the trailer here in Kitchener last week. So it looks like it's wide release.

Or rip it from a file sharing site(such as utorrent)? Was lucky enough to see it two months ago... you'll enjoy it..a bigscreen treat.

From what I have heard, they have edited the original to make it shorter & changed the name to "Pirate Radio". Take it from one who lived it, it bears almost no resemblance to what really happened.Pure fantasy.........the music is great!!!

I just finished watching the original 2 hour, 9 minute version, and I cannot imagine what they deemed unworthy enough to be cut out. Maybe it didn't have anything to do with what really happened back then, but what a great movie! The other film that you'll want to see is called The Wrecking Crew. I've been aware of the movie for over a year, but just recently found a copy. If you like the music of the 60s, you'll love both of these films.
