Here's a interesting follow-up to Wednesday's hostage-taking incident in Edmonton. Makes me wonder how some of our Toronto newsrooms would have dealt with the situation. The Lessons Learned

Does this lady get paid by the word? I gave up after about the 19th 1-sentence "paragraph", the one that contained the now discredited phrase "at the end of the day". She needs a basic journalism course and fast.

If this woman, with the cliche filled, absolutely drivel, is a senior journalist manager at the corp god help us...it read like a report of a bureaucrat saying nothing but filling space..course then again maybe any in senior management at the CBC are just bureaucrat...her piece though was like an essay by someone trying to get into j-school, but doesn't quite have the aptitude

My boss uses "at the end of the day" 3, 4, 5 times a day ... or more. (Sorry, meant that to follow David's post.)
