...please do me a favour and check 'KB-TV, cable channel 9, and listen to the sound. Does it sound like the Internet did 10 years ago, like it was coming through a barrel. Our sound on the Buffalo channels has slowly been deteriorating but tonight, we seem to have hit a new low. What are you getting on the football game? Thanks.

I have that problem with WIVB once Letterman ends and Rogers switches from the OMNI feed (this is on the basic cable I have downstairs..no idea what the sound is like on digital). Craig Ferguson sounds as if he's in a barrel.

Station sounds like its coming through a barrel on ROGERS DIGITAL as well.. Sounds out of phase from the source. As if they blew their audio processor and are working with one they bought at Wal-Mart!

Out of phase is probably the best description. Not quite Itchycoo Park but close. Cogeco has experienced a fair run of glitches lately -- channels freezing or disappearing completely for lengthy periods. Appreciate your comments, guys.

The only other time I'd noticed this (and only once, as I recall) was on WNED the week the analog feeds were to disappear. They seemed to be running analog and digital audio simultaneously and it was definitely out of phase, as well as slightly delayed...this was on a George Carlin memorial show a few months ago. Same program from PBS in Spokane was clear as a bell but I couldn't get the wide screen video (WNED had wide screen, but tiny picture). The hollow sound on WIVB on Rogers Cable seems to be a permanent thing. (I don't "get" Craig Ferguson anyway so I switch it off as soon as I can.)

i'm watching 60 minutes on wivb right now on roger's digital and i'm hearing the out of a barrel scenario. i'm not sure if it has anything to do with the nfl game running long thus eliminating the requirement to air the canadian carries feed. i don't think my cable bill will reflect my seeing this poor audio... i know, wishful thinking.
