No doubt that such a "union" would be void of any real substance. The impact ;however, that it would have on the citizens of Greece and Serbia would certianly be great enough to pave the way for a genunine confederation between the nations; One that would not encompass values normally associated with today's western world. Now you can see my rationale for including it in the subsection titled "Support some sort of merger (also of varying types)". On a side note, I don't see this sort of union ever coming into play. The possibility that such a proposal posses for a sort of "intellectual independence" of the west, is a strong reason why it will never be ratified or even considered by the EU.
