It would be interesting if any polls or surveys were conducted in either Greece or Yugoslavia at the time when Milosevic proposed a confederation. For such a momentous proposal, it seems that few Greeks and Serbs are even aware of it today. : There are signs that the EU is sailing into That's not only understandable but actually the only sensible opinion regarding Serbia's entry into the European Union. That some Serbian politicians want to join the European Union is as repugnant as those who want Serbia to join NATO : For Serbs, entry into the Greeks, sadly, have already signed that death warrant for themselves. Even sadder, they've still to realize that it was a death warrant. And, thus, there is virtually no movement for Greece's withdrawal from the EU. When the realization finally comes, it may be too late for anything to be done.

: It is interesting, and indeed significant,
: that there is a shift towards the union of
: Serbs and Greeks even if still scattered
: across several options. I am convinced that
: there is a steady move towards a closer
: union between the two brotherly peoples and
: a move away from favouring the EU membership
: amongst the Serbs.

: EU would mean signing their own death
