There was a post in July about closing agents signing agents and title companies. The refrence was made to RESPA I thought this one should have further talks.
Respa, with regaurds to a signing agent almost does not excist unless you would make false statements as to the documents you are signing.
If a title company is charging illigal fees the department of insurance will come down on them. However as a signing agent that in no way places you under the unbrella with them just because you preformed a service for them. If they ask you to back date a package and you do well that one is going to be on you.
Any opinions or otherwise?????
