Posted by Christine If you are owed money or have had problems with payment in the past, we need your help!! I spoke with the Fraud detective, Paul Jessup, who is with the Irvine Police Department, at length this morning. He has been a detective for 40 years and this case has interested him a great deal. Mr Jessup spoke with Melodie's husband via telephone, since Melodie would not speak with the police. If you are currently owed money, her husband said that the only reason a payment would not be sent is for the following: **the notary did not do the job correctly The detective asked if Signatures Plus has a complete list of reasons why a notary has not been paid and that the only reason is for one of those listed above. Melodie's husband confirmed with a confident "yes"! Well, I know in my case that the payment should have been sent and that neither of these apply to me. The detective has involved the DA and the Attorney Generals office also. He is taking our case VERY seriously. I know now that since Melodie knows the Police are involved it will get her attention and she should hopefully take us all more seriously as well. We have to "play their game" and I need the following information from you. **Borrower's name info and confirmation number or loan number. As much indentification information you can provide. We don't want them saying they cannot find the transaction **Date signing was completed **Date you reqested payment and any additional dates of correspondence requesting payment from company, (Could be a lot of dates, but put them all in there to show how amount of effort made to get paid) **If you know who the mortgage or escrow company is, ask if they paid her for the closing and on what date that payment was sent to Signatures Plus **Amount you are owed **Your email address, name and phone number in case the detective needs to contact you ---I need you to email this information to Paul Jessup at: pjessup@ci.irvine.ca.us His phone number is 949-724-7131, but reserve the phone calls for only necessary verbal information. Send him emails if possible also so we have a paper trail for information. ---- He is going to compile a complete list and deliver it to Melodie. They are going to have to account for each and every name on that list and reasons why payment has not been sent or they will have to pay immediately. This is the first step in the investigation and a very important one. Mr Jessup has put in a great deal of time for us, at no expense to us, so let's get some information to him right away. ---If you had issues in the past getting paid, but have been paid since, let him know what happened in your case as well. We can use that information to strengthen the case as it progresses.--- **Post this information on any other forums you may be on and let any of your colleagues know this information as well.** Mr Jessup has received many many calls and because of all your efforts he has taken this seriously. I am starting a new thread dedicated just to the investigation of Signatures Plus owned by Melodie Gordon, AKA Melodie Spector.
**Melodie did not receive payment by the mortgage company/escrow
Supposedly my check was cut a on March 12th, as per Debbie Hastings, the "accountant", and supposedly is just waiting for Melodie's approval to mail.
He has 40 years as a fraud detective so I know we have someone who knows his stuff.
and if have any comments or info please keep it coming.
