Protecting Yourself Doing Loan Signings At Residents

Greetings! Can any female signing agents out there give me any advice on how to protect yourself when going to clients houses to do loan signings? There are alot of weird people out there with false agendas and what can a female do to protect herself from rape in these cases. I've heard some people say they would take a spouse, friend, etc. with them, but that doesn't seem professional. Any other suggestions out there? Thanks!
