Dear Mr. Makor; How many of any of the entire earth's countries have preached that peace is possible in our lifetime? Excuse me, NONE to my knowledge. Carlos has been talking his ideal for world peace and oneness for his entire lifetime. If he were to stand on a pulpit right now and preach his ideals, who would one rather listen to, some Catholic Priest (not picking on Catholic's, but, they are in the news right now and under fire for certain crimes), or some other religious minister like the guy that's bashing Senator Obama right now, or Carlos Santana. There are religious leaders of some churches who are allowed to preach to congregations, who should not be right now.
Carlos has really caught my ear since the 70's and he is right on target with his word. I support his ideals 100+ %. I am a Methodist and I love my church and Minister and hope that Carlos lives his dream of becoming his own Church in Hawaii someday.
Does he dare take a stance in standing "holier than thou" attitude. In my book, he is. He and his music has taught me alot about the joy of loving, giving, kindness, and sharing. That's what he does as a touring band. He touches hearts and tries to allow your spirit to be free, whether it be sitting in your seat and taping your toes, or being up and dancing to the music. He is todays, Love Supreme Musician. If you know of another who plays HIS music with HIS message as Carlos does, I'd like to know who they are please.
When I go to a Santana concert, it's like attending a musical 2 hr + wonderful sermon. My opinion, is he above some other's in this way, YES HE IS!
Jeff, you play wonderfully. Please continue to follow the path of one of the most legendary musicians of our lifetime. Bless your heart for your God given talents.
I hope I have not offended your opinions.
Blessings;
Hermano Scott E
